Topaz Jones

Musician and Producer in New Jersey

Listen to my music

Since anyone can remember, up and coming artist/producer Topaz Jones has always had a deep-rooted love and passion for music. The son of funk and R&B musician Curt Jones, he surprised few when he began writing songs at the age of seven and decided early in life to follow in his father’s footsteps. Rather than R&B, Jones dedicated his life to hip-hop, taking influences from all forms of music and drawing inspiration from R&B, rock, pop, soul and jazz.

Topaz, a true renaissance man, has accomplished a lot at the age of 19. True to his bohemian style, he raps over eclectic samples and original compositions thought up by himself and his team of producers. He has rocked stages with the likes of Phony Ppl, Mike Posner, Hoodie Allen, and many more. He is set to release his most anticipated project early 2013, featuring production from the likes of Thelonious Martin and Daniel Lonner. Old fans will find comfort in his memorable rhyming structure but also be impressed by the immensely improved polished sound that he has found working on his new music.

Topaz is a pure lyricist and entertainer who performs like a seasoned professional. He has rocked out everywhere from e Santo’s Party House to Webster Hall, S.O.B.'s and Lincoln Center.

Today, Jones attends NYU’s prestigious Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music and continues to work on his craft as an artist whilst studying engineering, producing, and music business. His creative approach and new media savviness has lead many to believe that mainstream success is no less than inevitable.
