Tope Ogundare

Hi. I’m Tope, I live in place called Gosford, an hour north of Syndey, Australia.

To counterbalance my life as a junior doctor in a public hospital, I maintain two WordPress blogs: once called The Odd Employment where I write about film and post short stories, and a new one called A Good Hot One where I will be posting my cartoons, hopefully weekly.

I’m a guy who’s excited by arts and culture. I love film, but more than that: I love images, and drawing is one of the first things I remember doing, doing regularly and enjoying deeply.

It’s been a very long time since I sat down and put ink or graphite to paper in order to create an image for the sake of creating an image, but chance has rekindled my interest.

As for the stories and the criticism, they don't materialise in quite the same haze of rushed excitement that the cartoons do, but they are equally important to me. I just hope that they - and the drawings - resonate with others.
