I am a positive, passionate individual who strives to make a difference in my community. I am from Howell, Michigan, but I am currently a freshman studying marketing and professional sales at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
During high school, I was involved with my high school's Junior Optimist Octagon International (JOOI) club. JOOI is an international community service organization that prides itself on helping kids in our community and around the world. I was a member for three years and was elected president my junior and senior year. I also served on the Michigan district board my junior year and was head of the board my senior year. In these positions, I gained invaluable experience in marketing an organization to expand membership, planning events, effective communication, and managing diverse groups of students. The organization also fostered my passion for community service and helping others.
At Indiana University, I am currently the Programs Committee Associate Director for a club called Kelley Couture. Kelley Couture is an organization that aims to educate and bring opportunities to students who are interested in both business and fashion. I also attended the Hoosier Student Leadership Retreat, an all-day leadership retreat through the LeaderShape program. I also recently won the Macy's Case Competition with a team of 5 other students. The Macy's Case Competition is a case competition sponsored by Macy's in which students compete by creating a marketing campaign to promote the Macy's Wedding and Gift Registry program. My team took first place out of 176 teams. Through this experience, I was reassured of my love for marketing and one day I hope to use this experience as a tool in my future career in marketing.
