Tori Stukins
Innovation Enthusiast and Content Creator in St. Louis, Missouri
Tori caught the technology bug right around the time she was playing SSX Snowboarding upside down with her cousins while they babysat her.
She hasn't shut up it since, and she will talk to you for hours about the best game in the Legend of Zelda series.
Tori got her start in broadcasting at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also managed to squeeze in a minor in theatre.
There, she tried just about everything from hosting an Alternative Around the World radio show to joining a Shakespearean acting troupe. Some of her favorite memories include covering the Pygmalion Musical Festival for her college's television newscast and getting to engage in sword combat as MacDuff in her troupe's performance of Macbeth.
After graduating in May 2015, Tori accepted a position as a Web Producer at WAND NewsCenter 17, the NBC affiliate in her hometown of Decatur, IL. She had the opportunity to be trained on every show the station offered, as well as growing its digital presence. The position grew to include hosting a "Tuned Into Tech" segment, which rekindled her love for feature storytelling as she covered local technology and consumer news.
After nearly two years at WAND, Tori brought her work to KSDK News, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, MO, as a Morning News Producer in April 2017. There, she took charge of the weekend morning shows and assisted during the weekday mornings.
In late 2018, she took an even bigger leap and left the news industry altogether. She joined the eCommerce start-up OneSpace as a Content Development Specialist. There, she enjoyed growing her skills in project management while combining her interests in education and communications.
After enjoying start-up culture for a year, Tori returned to her first love: content creation.
Just in time for the 2019 holiday season, Tori took on a Senior Communications Strategist role at Heartland Dental, the leading dental support organization in the United States. There, she specialized in company communications and brand management.
Yearning to bring her talents back to St. Louis, she later accepted an offer to join waterworks and fire protection product distributor Core & Main as a Communications Specialist. She's also currently pursuing her Masters's in Public Relations at Webster University.
In her spare time, Tori enjoys participating in theatre, annoying her two cats Kyo and Peridot, raising her Bernedoodle puppy Bumi with her partner Cody and exploring the amazing gem that is St. Louis.
