Tau Afryea Lewis

I'm currently a journalism student at Ryerson University. My specialty is fashion journalism with an emphasis on vintage fashion. I'm a Toronto girl, born and raised in downtown T.O. When I'm not writing, I'm either treasure hunting at the local thrift stores, or photographing vintage items or trends around town.

As a kid growing up in Toronto, me and my mom never really had the budget for brand new clothes, so places like the Goodwill, Value Village (village de valeur as I call it), or the Salvation Army, were crutial to us. Now, as a young adult, I still think of the thrift store not only as my go-to place, but as a creative haven for endless fashion possibilities, and a treasure-trove for one-of-a-kind vintage finds.
