Hello All!
Well where should I begin? Hm.. So! I was born and raised in New Jersey; a city called Elizabeth. I am the youngest of three daughters. Some where around middle school my parents moved me and my family to Massachusetts where I finished my high school career. I come from a Colombian and Puerto Rican background, and I couldn't be any prouder of my culture.
In High School I knew my dream was always to go to college in California and make it big as an independent women. And I did just that!.... well not quit. After graduating High School I packed up my bags and in two months I was decorating my new home in San Francisco. I attended the Academy of Art University as a fashion merchandise major. I loved it! The people, different cultures, art, music, fashion...it was like being in New York! But I realized after a year that if I wanted to make it big I had to get serious and study hard, but San Francisco had too many distractions!
My boyfriend at the time (husband currently) lived in San Diego serving for the United States Marine Corp (for almost 10 years now). I've known Carlos since I was 12, we met back in Massachusetts and never lost touch when he moved away. One day after visiting him for a weekend he proposed and I (obviously) said YES! EEKKK I was soooo HAPPY! But ofcourse many people judged me; which I expected! And so, within the year I moved to San Diego and quickly transfered to FIDM.
Now, I have a beautiful home with my husband and my beautiful baby girl Zoey (well she's a dog but still my world). We adopted Zoey when she was only a few months old, going on two in February. She is a boxer and german shepard mix whom I love with all my heart and is the best dog ANYONE could ever ask for. She was a gift before Carlos deployed to Afghanistan and she kept me a lot of company on many lonely nights; she's my best friend!
Although I don't have many friends here and ZERO family, I love San Diego and although I am young and still have LOTS to learn, I am proud of where I am today and what I've accomplished thus far. I am still pursuing my dreams and taking it one day at a time. I am a fighter and will never stop!
