Alex Armando Torres

Alex Armando Torres was born in NYC. One of eight children Alex always wanted to stand out. His photos allow him to show his inner expression. Still new to taking photography seriuosly, Alex has been capturing images since he was a child. It has only been in the last 3 years that Alex has pursued perfecting his craft more seriously. Stay tune to a showing 2012/2013.

In addition Alex has written poetry and is currently working on a book of poetry expressing his growth, acting as a timeline, of where he has been, what is currently on his mind and where he hopes to be.

Eventually, Alex sees himself taking what he has learned to help others, specifically children. He believes that sometimes as children we lack the confidence or courage to speak out, to be productive, to have an outlet for self expression. Alex feels that photography and poetry are both great mediums for just that.
