Hussein Al-Alak is a British based writer and editor of Iraq Solidarity News (Al-Thawra).

Hussein’s writings on Iraq, have appeared in international publications including the Morning Star, the Palestine Chronicle, the Egyptian weekly Al-Ahram and The Eurasia Review.

Hussein has spoken about the situation inside of Iraq, with a particular focus on the mental health impacts of war, to international news service providers like the BBC and Russia Today.

Hussein Al-alak has been a guest on the Voice of Russia now Sputnik, where his contributions have focused around the political situation and the persecution of Iraq's native Christian community.

UK based charities that Hussein supports, include Aid to the Church in Need, the AMAR International Foundation, Combat Stress, the Royal British Legion and Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
