My artwork is influenced by my life, be it emotional or based in memory or experience. I want to share events in my life or emotions felt. I try to convey something personal in a way that can be understood and experienced by all. I am interested in light and the shadows that follow. I find it fascinating; all the colors that can be found to make up a shadow. I like to feature atypical perspectives and views. I think these elements can become the tools for the viewer to create their own story. I always hope to evoke some sort of emotion, making my work relatable. I paint in hopes of creating beauty in ordinary objects. To draw attention to things that are often overlooked. I paint in hopes of getting the viewer to take a second look at the world around them.
