Tottie Limejuice
I was born in Nantwich, Cheshire, and according to my birth certificate, my name is Lesley Tither. Tottie Limejuice is a name I acquired in later life, a mythical creation of my late favourite auntie.
I was educated at Stockport High School for Girls and trained in journalism at Harris College, Preston. I spent ten years on local papers in England and Wales, then returned to my first love - horses - to run my own equestrian centre and later work as a riding therapist with young people with learning disabilities.
I now live in France's Auvergne, in the beautiful Livradois-Forez region, where I work as a freelance copywriter, working principally for Sarah Lamballe Copywriting plus a few selected clients.
I recently published my first book, Sell the Pig, which is available from Amazon Kindle Store. It's about what happens when dementia, depressed dipsomania and downright dottiness decide to uproot from the UK and move to France together. It's the story of what motivated me to move to France with my 90-year-old mother, a dementia sufferer, and my alcoholic manic-depressive brother.
There's also a book blog where you're welcome to come along and have your say about Sell the Pig. I always try to reply as promptly as possible.
When I'm not writing I love organic gardening, walking with my dogs and camping in all weathers. I'm also busily trying to improve my French in order to become a French citizen.
