I first became aware of God's dream for me one desperate night when I was five or six. Asthmatic, I couldn't breathe, and called out to God, "God save me!" And He did. From that moment forward God the Father began shepherding me toward the fulfillment of His dream for me. This training included exotic places, strange tongues, edge-of-your-seat, life-and-death, time-and-eternity experiences that set the course of my life in pursuit of a dream. His dream. I've had faithful companions on this journey: a wife of over three decades, five children who have brought joy and laughter to my household, numerous family members, friends and supporters who have journeyed with me from the outset of this pursuit. I and my closest companions have set our eyes, minds, and hearts on the South Pacific, on Bible translation, and relentless pursuit of God's dream. It is pursuit of this dream that shapes, drives, and compels us to love deeply, to give sacrificially, to live dangerously in the hands of God. God's dream is simple: that people from every nation, tribe, people and language will be gathered around the throne of the Lamb in worship in gratitude--for all eternity. Me? I want to be down front with nothing and no one in between me and Him.
