Jordan Townsend

Hi! I’m Jordan Townsend – welcome to my page. I am currently a senior at UNC-CH studying political science and strategic communications/marketing at the media and journalism school. I grew up in Durham but am a Tar heel born and bred.

I spend most of my time right now straddling two different worlds – one of politics and one of the commercial AV industry. I am currently a part of a study led by Dr. Daniel Kreiss that looks at the experiences of women working in the fields of technology, digital media, data, and analytics on political campaigns led. Our ultimate goal is to take what we learn and subsequent appropriate solutions and transform it into a white paper for the public, launched at an event in DC and later a book. Ultimately, my dream is to turn this study into a full-time job one day in DC to ensure it lives on. That is a dream that will involve patience which brings me to my other world, the world of AV. I am currently a social media marketing and digital strategy intern at rAVe Publications. I am learning more than ever before and gaining skills that I know will facilitate my success in any other industry with multiple vertical markets. I hope to keep doing so!
