  • I'll be the first to admit, technology has never been my strong suit. But having said that, I realize that technology, as in any tool, if used correctly has the ability to build, create, inspire, and motivate. Through technology, my kinder class has the abilty to travel through the solar system, they can see penguins hatch in Antarctica, they can explore any place in the world, perhaps inspring them to endeavor in directions they may never have thought to imagine. Information in the digital world is accessible, available, and at the tip of their fingers and I get to join them in this incredible journey. I am blessed to work in the greatest profession of all, helping to guide them, to grow them, to help them understand the world is filled with unlimited possibilities.Technology gives our children the ability to communicate with children oceans away. Social media controlled effectively can create a world of shared ideas, built on the collaboration of thoughts that can inspire, that can problem solve, that can share a common ground between various cultures. For me personally, technology has given me the abilty to have access to so many sources of knowledge. From colloborating with teachers from different parts of our country, to posting lesson plan materials, to sharing ideas at a moments notice through social streaming, I have come to understand that technology can give light to a part of our educational system that has for so long been left in the dark.
