Toyin Adekale (pronounced – toying-add-ee-car-lee)
I was born in London/England to West African parents and commenced my journey in the Entertainment Business as a singer/songwriter as a teenager. Always on a quest for knowledge, after 33 years in the industry, I embarked on my Bachelors of Science Degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University.
I’ve travelled all over the world, with the privilege of performing for Kings and Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers from the Palace to the Kremlin. I’ve worked both in front of and behind the scenes in Music - as a singer/songwriter and vocal arranger and voiceover talent; Television - as a Presenter and Program Content Originator and I was very instrumental in pioneering one of the first Black British Cable stations in the UK during the early 80s, ‘BVTV’; Radio - as guest presenter and voiceover specialist; Public Speaker – motivational events for women and teenagers coming from domestic challenges; Actress with many leading roles and penned my first book “I Do, Do You?” with a song of the same title. It has been a joy to meet and work with some great names like Soul II Soul, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Diana Ross, Boney M, Maxi Priest, just to name a few. I’ve had 20+ singles/albums during my career as a singer/songwriter. My ambition is to one day work alongside Tyler Perry in one of my artistic forms, as I admire his work ethics and values.
In my travels I’ve grasped the basics of hello, goodbye and thank you in many languages, amongst other phrases in Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Hawaiian, Swahili and Russian. I’m a proficient networker and an articulate verbal and written communicator, with a passion for bringing Edutainment via creativity.
My degree has enhanced these gifts with an increased knowledge of todays, markets and trends. I’m very passionate, driven and love a challenge. I’m a persistent solution finder. I don’t see problems but challenges to be conquered.
If there were a downside to my personality it would be that my mind is in constant innovative motion with new ideas and concepts.
My passion is no longer, just fame and fortune, but giving back. With so much to offer, my question is, “How can I be of service to you?”
