I am really passionate about a few things: real health, real food, good design and the earth. These things are all interelated and as a designer I see the ultimate goal as to find ways to help people live healthy, happy lives in tune with their environment.

This can be achieved by understanding the big picture of the systems we live in, eliminating barriers to positive behaviour and creating barriers to negative behaviour. Good design makes positive living effortless.

I am author of the sustainable design chapter of the book Design & Designing: A Critical Introduction, have design work featured in the Harper Collins Big Book of Green Design and am a winner of the UK government's Business Leader of Tomorrow Award.

I am co-founder of the successful WordPress design and development agency Wholegrain Digital, founded in 2007.

I live in the countryside, love running in the wild (especially with bare feet), love photography and like to travel to inspiring places and meet inspiring people. My beliefs could probably be best described as 'agnostic buddhist', but I don't like to box myself. I also wrote a little book of nonsense poems called Nonsense from Within and blog about health ideas at www.livewholesome.co.uk on the rare occasions that I have time. Plus I'm a big supporter of community owned renewable energy. I could go on, but you have probably already phased out...
