Theresa Quilici
Rome
Theresa is a middle school teacher-librarian in NW Georgia who loves making multimedia and teaching technology to tweens and teens. She is married and the mother of two sweet boys.
She has a bachelors degree in English Literature from Jacksonville University. After graduating, Theresa worked as a high-school ELA teacher for a few years, then took an 8-year hiatus.
While away, she worked toward her M.Ed. in Library Media at the University of West Georgia. Theresa returned to education in 2009, working first as a media assistant for two years before moving into her current position as a school librarian.
She returned to UWG to complete a specialist degree in Media-Instructional Technology and will graduate in December 2013.
Theresa's main goal is to transition the library into a school makerspace where collaboration and creation are the cogs of the hub.
She is also interested in networking with other educators, technology specialists, professors, principals, and teacher-librarians to share thoughts and ideas.
Her hobbies include reading young adult novels and discussing these books with students, helping others, hiking in the woods, watching Food Network, cooking, and getting her hands on new gadgets.
