Tracey Wong is a teaching veteran, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and has experience as a Director of Library Services managing 27 school libraries and 15 school library media specialists. Teaching at the elementary and secondary level, as well as a background beginning in NYC DOE public schools as a School Library Media Specialist, Reading Recovery teacher, Leveled Literacy Intervention Specialist and elementary teacher. Tracey also taught at an online school pre-Covid. Tracey empowers scholars through participatory culture and digital creation shared globally. In addition, she has over 5 years teaching experience at the college level.
Tracey is a 2024 Frances Lincoln Librarian, and a 2021 Macmillan Dear Librarian recipient. She is a recipient of a 2018 Library Journal Movers & Shakers Award and a recipient of the 2016 ALA Scholastic Publishing Award. Tracey is a Lemelson MIT Excite Award winner and the winner of Dremel's #LearnMakeGive contest. She has presented at numerous conferences including ISTE, Computers & Libraries, PLSA, NYLA, NYSCATE and NYCSLS. Tracey has published articles in School Library Journal, Library Media Connection, School Library Monthly and Teacher Librarian. Tracey's grant writing has assisted the various school districts with over $5,000,000 in funding.
