I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. I have studied Justice Administration at Northern Virginia Community College and received my Associate of Science in 2012. I was accepted into the University of Louisville Justice Administration program and am currently working toward my Bachelor of Science degree with an anticipated completion date of 2015. I have held positions that have empowered me to broaden my experience in homeless services and intellectual disabilities. I was a Residential Coordinator for a 30 bed family shelter in Prince William County. I served as supervisor to front line staff, in an on call capacity and provided lead support during facility emergencies. I also served in a similar capacity with Shelter House, Inc. in Falls Church, VA. I have developed extensive experience in homeless services and rapid re-housing as well as leadership and teamwork. I was recruited for the position of Program Coordinator of a Day Support program with St. John's Community Services currently managing program operations, expenses, hiring, training, client referrals, delivering informational tours to recruit cleints and day to day aspects of the program serving adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. I maintain a case load under the supported employment program through DARS, Medicaid and CSB maintaining certifications for supported employment through the Association for Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) and APSE. To highlight some of my accomplishments, I have developed, maintained and reported on two outreach programs that offered life sustaining items to the disadvantaged; created and implemented training strategies for several programs and established procedures to streamline processes both program and organization wide. My leadership abilities have grown to an all time high and give innovative ideas for progam enhancement.
