Chief Communications Officer in Los Angeles, California
Tracy Ryan is an award-winning entrepreneur, public speaker, and innovative leader with over 27 years of experience in branding, marketing, philanthropy, and groundbreaking medical research. As Co-Founder and Chief Communications Officer of NKore BioTherapeutics, she has dedicated her career to advancing cancer treatments through cutting-edge immunotherapy.
Tracy’s journey into medical innovation began in 2013 when her infant daughter, Sophie, was diagnosed with a low-grade brain tumor. Determined to seek solutions beyond conventional treatments, Tracy collaborated with leading scientists like Dr. Anahid Jewett to explore the potential of cannabis and natural killer (NK) cells in targeting cancer. This journey was documented in the Netflix film Weed the People, which followed her family’s six-year exploration of groundbreaking therapies.
In 2014, Tracy founded CannaKids, a globally recognized medical cannabis tincture company focused on pediatric care. After selling the company in 2020, she co-founded NKore BioTherapeutics to develop supercharged NK cell therapies that target cancer stem cells and strengthen the immune system. These therapies, including NK101, have shown remarkable results, including near eradication of her daughter’s tumor after infusions of NK cells.
Tracy has collaborated extensively with top researchers, including Dr. Dedi Meiri of Israel’s Technion Institute, and holds patents with Dr. Jewett demonstrating the potential of cannabis to kill cancer stem cells and reboot the immune system. Her work in advancing NK cell therapies has brought hope to families worldwide.
In addition to her work with NKore, Tracy founded JeTT Media Group, an award-winning Los Angeles-based marketing and graphic design agency, and the nonprofit Saving Sophie, which supports families facing life-threatening illnesses. Her story and expertise have been featured by major media outlets, and she has spoken globally to advocate for patient care and innovation in medicine.
Through her work at NKore BioTherapeutics, Tracy is redefining cancer care, blending personal passion with professional expertise to develop transformative therapies and improve lives.
