Tracy Austin

My name is Tracy Austin. I am a drummer and percussionist, not to be mistaken with Tracy Austin- American Former World #1 professional tennis player - though my chosen path involves a different type of "racquet"! As a musician I am classically trained, obtaining my grade 8 in drumkit (Guildhall School of Music) by the time I was 18 and graduated later with a BA(Hons) in Professional Musicianship, specialising in the drumkit.I use Mapex, Paiste, Sabian, Tama, Evans, ProMark and Protection Racket.I am the drummer for three great UK based bands, primarily playing festivals and conventions. All three are very unique in style to each other. The Mysterious Freakshow, The Invisible Opera Company of Tibet and The Sensational Travelling Bluesburys. I also undertake dep work for pub/party bands, session for orchestral gigs and theatre pit work.Outside of my apparent massive obsession with hitting things, I love being around family and friends, being creative (currently a sewing fiend haha), warm weather, adventures in my car, the seaside, the moors, and food! Generally I try not to be too serious - after all, the life we are experiencing isn't a rehearsal!
