I’m passionate about the adventure of up-cycling antique treasures, mid century furniture, reorganizing spaces, building and reclaiming just about anything. Everyday I scout materials to transform into something useful to give stuff another lease on life. You would not believe what is left curbside in the Soho streets of New York City, Hamptons, Dutchess, California, etc. I collect art, antique boxes, blown glass, artisanal fabrics, textiles, middle eastern carpets, lighting, stained glass, anything solid copper, bronze & brass, African masks, books, I like circles, bright colors and round things, … and it should come as no surprise- I never pay full price. I wonder about people’s lives, what they like on their pizza, and what makes them happy. Any day interacting with customers, haggling over price, discussing its historical background, at an antique market, rummaging through thrift shops, housing works, estate sales, auctions, scouting out a treasures that speaks to me… is a good day. Often I get lost researching new artists or family history from pictures found. I see beauty in vendors and collectors quirkiness and slowly learn about their life by asking questions about their pieces. I'd like to get on a design team that scores pieces, refurbishes old to new, converts barns to stunning magnificent contemporary residential properties, works with the tree fort masters, high condo or hotel developers preserving the old bringing unique incredible pieces to pop any space. Ordinary people fasinate me. My word is my bond. I’m clear, positive, reliable, trust worthy, and devoted about designing spaces & creating antiques of the future, touring flea markets, working for demanding collectors builders, developers, and can very easily create the time and space to show up on every level to insure all projects touched are surpurb.
