Tracy grew up in a small farm community in the Shawangunk Mountains of New York. She passed up a full business scholarship to study photography and Japanese culture in Toyama, Japan. Upon returning to the states, she studied graphic design and advertising at the University of Florida.
Her first advertising job was at Young and Rubicam where her first television commercial ran during the Super Bowl. Next, she moved to Saatchi and Saatchi where her work helped launch one of P&G's most successful line of beauty products. As part of Olay's global expansion, she directed the design of their first retail store in Eastern Europe.
Tracy's love of photography led her to seek permission to photograph the demolition of the Bethlehem Steel Mill. For a year, she traveled there every weekend to document this American icon. She is working on a book of images juxtaposing the demolition of the mill with existing Bethlehem Steel structures. Tracys multi-disciplined art approach took another turn when she began making jewelry inspired by her miniature photographs of trees.
Her advertising clients include Walmart, Olay, L'Oreal, Yellowtail, Dove Chocolate Discoveries and Johnson and Johnson. She is noted for creating work with a distinct visual statement and the warmth of everyday humanity. Tracy currently lives in New York City with her husband and two children, Luke and Angelene. If you see her, she will definitely be carrying a journal and a camera.
