I write epic fantasy novels. I’ve been doing it seriously since 1997 when I decided that I was going to pour my heart into writing fiction. Sometimes I wonder if I really should have committed myself to making a business out of doing what I love. Success is hard to come by as an independent author. The competition is gargantuan and there’s always someone out there to knock you down. But loving my work makes all the difference. The though of giving up writing novels is unbearable to me. Every year I reach more readers than the year before. I try to make every novel I write better than the last one.
