Tracy Hanson

I have been in public and private education for over thirty years in a variety of capacities. My experiences range from teaching elementary multi-grade to working with medically fragile, multi-handicapped children, as an Early Intervention Educator for birth to three children, running a day care center to designing an academic program for middle school students placed in an alternative school. I hold a Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education, Master's in Curriculum Instruction and one in Administration. These, and other educational experiences, lead me in search of a more effective and successful way to educate our children.

In June of 2011 I founded K12 Next Generation that is a representation of a meeting house where educators and interested community members from around the world can gather. Their primary mission is to promote and consolidate OER into a Global Curriculum Continuum which will insure a personalized education to all children anywhere, anytime. Second to that goal is to support educators and families using the curriculum through professional development opportunities and trainings in the philosophy behind and the monitoring of the curriculum. And third, it is important that we help those schools, countries who haven't the infrastructure to access the curriculum.

In my personal life I am a mother of one, grandmother to three and owner of a beautiful Lippett Morgan horse named Gusto. I enjoy being outdoors and photographing nature, just about all activities that have to do with the ocean, gardening when I can, and being with and listening to family chatter. I spend my time split between New Hampshire and Florida.
