Smile when your lungs are aching, Smile when your heart is breaking =) !!! When the cheering stops... Newly retired from Professional Sport & looking forward to life's new challenges. It was when I was looking up at an accomplished Olympic athlete who was speaking to a group of young passionate kids that included myself that I became more than inspired to set big goals and drive towards them. I’ve been in professional sport for over 22 years and on the Olympic synchronized swimming team for 10 years. With numerous international appearances and medals stemming from decades of competing, I can never fully accept retiring. I want to keep going, but in way of inspiring and encouraging others to reach their goals. I’m eager to communicate, influence and stimulate young Canadian youth to set new limits for themselves, to challenge them, and to instill within them good, strong values. Not only am I devoted to sport and healthy living, but I am also passionate about communications and marketing as well. Holding numerous positions where I’ve been in direct contact with people has allowed me to develop excellent communication skills that would be a great asset out of the pool. Being a guest on The Michael Landsberg Show, representing the sports world at the Grammies and doing countless media interviews for the Olympic team has given me the ideal experience required for new work. Moreover, I have excellent social media experience, and an encouraging following online. Throughout my competitive and training adventures, I’ve always kept in touch with my fans via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I always look forward to public talks, sharing my stories on blogs and in articles and acting as a spokeswoman for brands and sponsors. I’m a creative team leader and more than anything I want to share my passion and fulfill my new life goal of inspiring the next generation of young athletes.
