Tracy Wilkinson
workplace Wellbeing & Mental Health Training in Cambridge, United Kingdom
With a keen interest in human behaviour and the connection between mind and body, Tracy works with social enterprises and charities to make a social impact in the mental health sector.
Trained by Psychotherapist, Lindy Wheeler to be an Authorised Practitioner of The Human Toolbox in 2015, Tracy delivers psycho-educational training and facilitates workshops for employed people and charity beneficiaries. Her training days for Wellbeing Champions and Mental Health Awareness are backed by neuroscience and the teachings of The Human Toolbox.
According to Tracy, it’s not just the right thing to do but it makes social and business sense to invest in wellbeing. Empowering people to lead happier, more balanced and productive lives will reduce the burden on the public purse and will cut significantly the £9 billion annual bill that employers face to cover sick pay and associated costs.
Her ambition is to generate funding for schools in order to educate young people about mental health, and in turn to empower and prepare them for their employed lives ahead. After all, they are the talent pool of the future. Understanding how our behaviour effects our wellbeing and ability to cope with stress is a vital life skill. This understanding can be achieved with the teachings of the Human Toolbox. As stress is the world health epidemic of this century – we all need to be knowledgeable about keeping ourselves mentally healthy.
Backed by 25 years of marketing communications experience, Tracy builds relationships with clients and stakeholders with tenacity by understanding what they want. Then she helps them achieve it. She has worked for financial institutions, public sector bodies and has run her own business. She is equally at home as a project manager in the construction industry.
Tracy is a Time to Change Champion, the national movement raising awareness of mental health, to help end mental health stigma and reduce discrimination. As a volunteer, she co-hosted the Time to Talk business seminar with Taylor Vinters in February to add Cambridge's voice to help raise the profile of the national campaign.
She believes that breaking down mental health stigma and discrimination is key to creating happier communities in education, the workplace and at home. To achieve this mental health education is vital and The Human Toolbox is perfect for the challenge.
