For over twenty years, at SDSU and UMCP, I taught college English--academic writing and literature survey courses. Now, I'm working at the second largest L. L. Bean outlet in the country, at Tyson's Corner, Virginia. When I'm not selling L. L. Bean products, chances are I'm putting them to use on the Appalachian Trail or in one of our national parks. I love to go backpacking with my hiking partner, my wife, Karen.
