Trajan Shomin is a student living in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from Northview High School in 2017. He played football, hockey, and baseball during his time there. He also worked for his high school athletic department by scheduling workers for volleyball events. In the summer of 2017, he worked for the Young Men's Christian Association as a summer camp counselor. This was his first full time job and a great learning experience in work ethic and responsibility. Trajan Shomin enrolled at Grand Valley State University in 2017. Since then, he has been pursuing a degree in marketing at the Seidman College of Business while also working in the Sports Information Department. His role while employed at GV includes recording stats, working with visual media, and posting on social media from multiple official Grand Valley accounts. In the summer after his first year, he worked for Thousand Oaks Golf Club on the grounds crew. This was a full time job with both manual labor and highly detailed tasks. He has also looked into in the LEAP program offered by GVSU. This would allow him to explore his interest in law while also getting through school in a timely manner. He hopes to graduate with a bachelor's degree by 2021. After his undergrad work, he plans on continuing on his academic path to receive a more advanced degree. This may be a law or master's degree. He is the son of Lucy and Tyler Shomin. His father, Tyler, is a teacher at Crossroads Middle School. His mother is a secretary in the same building and the brother of Teagan and Taylor Shomin. His sisters, Teagan and Taylor, also attended GVSU. Teagan is a grad assistant Athletic Trainer at Clemson University. Taylor is an elementary school teacher at East Oakview. Trajan Shomin's interests include: sports, film, music, marketing, politics, and law.
