Tracie Montgomery

Welcome! My name is Tracie Montgomery, Managing Director (MD)/Principal Content Strategist, and Founder of Island Viewpoint (IV)

The road to self-employment started with a unique combination of undergraduate degrees, and a strong need for a balance between self-expression and earning a living. I have been involved in the arts and technology for most of my life. Learning to code in elementary school provided foundational skills that pretty much followed me throughout life. As a teen, I was part of a youth entrepreneurship group that teaches the basics of organizing and operating a small business. This unique combination of learning experiences helped shape my view of the world and gave ideas on what careers would best showcase my innate and acquired abilities.

After years of career exploration in various fields, it was time to narrow my focus and develop my skills in a chosen discipline. Ultimately, I decided on Psychology as a major because I find human behavior fascinating. I declared a second major in Africana Studies shortly after for personal and professional growth.

After graduation and a gap year, I decided to make good use of and build upon the valuable skills acquired in my youth and higher education and combined them with my inborn artistic talent to start my own business as a Digital Content Creator. The titles Managing Director and Principal Content Strategist are roles that best describe the daily functions of this digital content creator.
