Vidya Ratna

Proper gender classification: Androgynous, stands at 182cm tall; a mixed race of Thai/Indonesian descent. Vidyaratna means "the Jewel of Learning" in Sanskrit, one who is content to be a perpetual student of Life. Though residing in Kuala Lumpur, Vidya frequently travels to India and Thailand, not only because gender discrimination is unheard of in these two countries, but the people there are real, devoid of pretentious masks. (The Indian government even legalised Transsexuals as the Third gender!). Moreover, the myriad of colours and artistic expressions in these two countries, especially the wealth of ancient wisdom in India, greatly appeal to the senses, alleviate the mind and gladden the heart.

Vidya is avid for Self Knowledge, Meditation and Holistic Healing and so, by default she prefers a simple, quiet life. But that does not mean an arid and dry existence. Her carefree spirit embraces all facets of life, for in the ugly and the beauty of it all, there is a lesson to be learned, a jewel to be found.
