Transitional Housing in Roswell GA

Transitional Housing in Roswell GA provides sober housing and other services to people suffering from substance abuse problems. Many of these homes also offer psychological support and job training, and some provide domestic violence help. While this type of housing is not for everyone, it can be a good choice for individuals who are ready to move on from homelessness.

The City of Roswell recently completed a project called the Veranda at Groveway. This project is made possible with funding from the CDBG program. In addition, the City of Roswell has partnered with 15 nonprofit organizations, many of which receive CDBG funds. The City of Roswell received $479,902 in CDBG-CV funds in 2020. The city plans to allocate these funds to 13 local nonprofit projects that deal with health and safety.

The City of Roswell is part of the North Fulton Housing and Homeless Continuum of Care, which includes the Housing Authority. The team works with nonprofit organizations, including HomeStretch, to provide resources and support to the community's low-income residents. The City of Roswell is also a member of the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing, which is a nonprofit group that provides housing for low-income families.

The community began planning for the Drake House in 2004. Community leaders and volunteers helped bring the project to fruition. CDBG-CV funds allocated to the nonprofit have helped the organization improve the classroom and improve ventilation and air quality in the campus.
