A freelance writer for nearly 20 years, I am driven by a deep curiosity about the world, a fascination by people's stories, a need to learn new things and a lifelong love affair with the written word.

My work runs the gamut from New York Times travel pieces and women's magazine articles to annual reports, websites, marketing communications, branding and book writing/editing. It seems I've written about anything and everything over the years--and and am happy to do so--but I also have developed specialities in health care, travel, the arts and urban living.

I'm good at getting to the essence of things, so people and companies often hire me to tell their stories. I tend to bond with my clients, and they either become clients for years on end or friends for life. The same thing seems to drive both scenarios: reliability, flexibility, a true spirit of collaboration, a willingness to go the extra mile for excellence and a sense of fun in the process.

Oh, and I write a blog about joy called "on the wings of the hummingbird."
