Travis Chapman

I currently attend Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. I'm on track to graduate, with a double major in Political Science and Public Relations, by May of 2015. The government has alwasys been a large interest of mine, so I'm hoping to work in or around that area after graduation. I studied abroad in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the Winter Semester of 2013. I believe this experience really helped shape a worldview that I otherwise would be completely unaware of if I never studied and lived abroad. I have a sense of journey and a huge desire to travel that I haven't had since I was young enough to know that alll of this means. I hope that as I start my career path, I will be able to keep that sense of journey alive to continue that desire to see new places and cultures.

Whenever I'm not thinking about travelling or staying busy with college, I try to enjoy my spare time with family and friends. I'm a pretty big football fan and a fan of Michigan teams in general. Although, I could be just as content wrapped up in a good book as I would watching football. I love everything about music. I'm also pretty big on thriller movies with a really good plot twist. That moment when you realize what just happened is priceless. I also casually play disc golf and longboard whenever I get the chance.
