Travis Curtright has a doctorate in Literature from the University of Dallas. He also possesses formal training from the American Shakespeare Center and from the prestigious Second City in Chicago. Travis is the Chair of Humanities and Liberal Studies Department at Ave Maria University as well as the Professor of Humanities and Literature at Ave Maria. In addition to his career in academia, he is the Editor of Moreana: A Journal of Thomas More and Renaissance Studies, and fellow for Thomas More Studies at the University of Dallas.

Travis Curtright is also the Director of Shakespeare in Performance, a minor of studies at Ave Maria. This troupe allows students the ability to explore the classics of Shakespeare with a modern twist. Along with his wife, Mary, Travis runs the Shakespeare in Performance Camp, which allows young actors to explore and hone their talents and passions into sophisticated skills.

In addition to his career as a scholar and academic, Travis Curtright is an accomplished author, having written The One Thomas More, Shakespeare's Dramatic Persons, and co-editor of Shakespeare's Last Plays: Readings in Literature and Politics.
