Travis Jones

“If you can dream it, you can do it” a quote by Walt Disney I have lived by for years. During high school, I had the opportunities of a lifetime by winning a provincial championship in curling leading to my eventual path onto the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee (VANOC). The events from my time with Coca Cola and VANOC changed my life, dreams and goals.

Today, I am now completing and entering my fourth and final year of my Bachelors degree of Business Administration in Marketing. Upon completion I plan to continue to follow my dream and reenter the sport-marketing world. Until then I have taken every opportunity to expand my professional network and grow my personal experiences. One lesson I have learnt: you never know whom you might meet or whom you are talking to, so just say hello and things happen.

Although, the working world is fun, I also have continued my passion of curling. Recently winning the CCAA 2013 National Championship with my university team. I find being part of a team is extremely beneficial to everyday life. The situations and problem solving cannot be taught in a classroom but only learnt by experience. I also am in the finally completion stage of obtaining a Level 3 – High Performance coach certification.
