Travis Zwenger

Before launching his career, Travis Zwenger earned his Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where he studied civil and environmental engineering. Travis Zwenger went on to enjoy a successful career and has since worked at several military installations.

Travis Zwenger took the first step in his career at the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Florida, where he trained to be a Naval Nuclear Engineer. He later moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he served as a Naval Surface Warfare Officer at the Mayport Naval Station. There, he trained to be an Anti-Terrorism Officer and was placed in charge of training 200 sailors. He served as the head of a nine-person Force Protection Training Team, as well as two 12-person Visual Boarding Search and Seizure teams. In 2003, Mr. Zwenger became an Assistant Operations Officer. In this role, he was in charge of logistical and shore support for 21 ships and 13,000 sailors. In 2004, Mr. Zwenger became an Environmental Officer, which mainly involved working to keep local water supplies clean and providing technical oversight for solid waste management units and petroleum cleanup sites.

One year later, Travis Zwenger transferred to the Jacksonville Naval Air Station, where he assumed the role of Civil and Environmental Engineer. This placed him at the head of numerous construction projects. In 2006, Mr. Zwenger accepted a position with ICM, Inc. As an Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer, he provided technical expertise for the construction of a $28 million ethanol plant. In 2009, Mr. Zwenger joined the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Over the course of his career, Travis Zwenger has been the recipient of many accolades, including the Anti-Terrorism Medal, Expert Rifle Medal, Expert Pistol Medal, Battle E-Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Medal.
