Treasure Arthur
Treasure Arthur has always been interested in identifying goals and problems and coming up with the appropriate solutions and steps to solve those problems. In middle school, her goal was to teach herself how to create websites using HTML. She did so and won 3rd place in web design in the WHRO Great Computer Challenge in 2004. In high school, her Journalism teacher had the ambition of creating a school newspaper. Treasure stepped up to lead as editor-in-chief and taught herself how to layout and print an 8-page newspaper on Adobe PageMaker. In college, as Treasure neared graduation, she realized she wanted to study abroad with her peers and leave the country for the first time in her life. Treasure spent the following summer in Istanbul, Turkey and was able to cover 50% of her costs in scholarships. It has always been that uncanny knack for taking very little in the way of direction, precedence and resources, and somehow weaving all of those ingredients together to produce substantial results, which has driven Treasure in her career goals.
Treasure is a recent graduate of Emory University where she received a Bachelors of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Strategy & Management Consulting. She has worked for various organizations such as a non-profit with a focus on financial literacy and economic development to the Office of United States Congressman and Civil Rights leader John Lewis. Currently, Treasure is working as an executive compensation analyst for Towers Watson. Treasure hopes to utilize her unique experience and analytical and research skills to carve herself a niche in the corporate governance and social responsibility realm within the financial services industry. It is her firm belief that equal access to financial services and inclusive financial products are key to reducing wealth inequality in America.
