Dr. Tremikae Owens is a dedicated physician and medical acupuncturist who brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and a holistic approach to healing. With a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for wellness, she is committed to empowering her clients to achieve optimal health and well-being.

Dr. Owens completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Spelman College and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 2002. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. In 2019, she obtained her Medical Acupuncture certification from the Helms Medical Institute, further deepening her integrative approach to care.

Her extensive training in both Western and Eastern medicine allows her to offer a comprehensive range of acutherapy services, including body point acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, laser acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, electroacupuncture, acupressure, magnet therapy, trigger point therapy, cupping, gua sha massage, and pediatric acupuncture. These therapies are effective in treating a wide array of conditions such as chronic pain, migraines, stress, hot flashes, obesity, nicotine addiction, digestive issues, muscle and neurologic disorders, and more.

In addition to her clinical services, Dr. Owens provides expert medical opinion services for veterans seeking VA disability benefits. Through Wellness First PLLC, she offers detailed, evidence-based nexus letters to support service connection claims. With over 20 years of military service and a deep understanding of both the medical and VA systems, Dr. Owens is uniquely positioned to advocate for veterans with compassion, precision, and integrity.

Dr. Owens is a member of the National Medical Association and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
