Trendy Mess

Lia Loo
Hi there! I’m in the 11th grade and I’m seventeen in a little less than a week. I am what some people call blasian, meaning that half of my family is of black decent and the other is of Chinese decent. Both of these people groups are known for their bright, expressive, and intricate cultures. I also go to an American school and find myself very immersed in that culture as well. Growing up fashion has always been a big deal for my family. My mother won’t even let me out of the house if she feels that I don’t fit the occasion. Because of this I have become the master of dressing for the occasion. I may not always stand out, but you will never hear anyone say that Lia Loo looked ratchet for any setting. I hope to share my tips and secrets with you through this blog. Stay posted!

Hi I’m a 15-year-old eleventh grader living in Panama City, Panama. I am originally from Jamaica but have been living in Panama since 2006 where I enrolled in an American school. Being raised in all these different cultures has had a great effect on my development years and has made me somewhat of a third culture kid. When it comes to my personal style, I am a catalyst almost everywhere I go because of the different cultures that influence my style in my style. Although I am an introvert, I have become very used to standing out in a crowd and have come to enjoy it. Still, ultimately I dress to feel comfortable, confident, and to express myself not for compliments or attention from anyone. I hope that through this blog I can share my thoughts on how to develop your own unique personal style.
