Tressa Bush is a journalist, media producer, and community leader passionate about storytelling and historical preservation. Based in Chestnut Mound, Tennessee, she has built a career blending broadcasting, tourism development, and event management to engage communities and bring history to life.
As the founder of the Smith County Historical Tourism Society (SCHTS), she has played a key role in preserving Tennessee’s history, particularly the Tennessee Maneuvers of World War II. Under her leadership, SCHTS has grown into a major educational initiative, organizing living history events that draw national attention.
Before launching SCHTS, Tressa worked as a producer, writer, and editor for Wilson County Television (WCTV), managing original programming and live broadcasts. Her journalism career includes award-winning work at the Carthage Courier and reporting for Tennessee Crossroads. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, she continues to inspire through video, print, and digital media.
