Captain Hugh T Alkemi (Trevahr Hughes) of the Guilded Fate, primary author of MushroomShaman.com, was first introduced to astrology and card reading in his early teens while in the honors math and science programs. With practice, he realized that different systems of astrology calculated opposing assessments of personality in humans, and some could be considered less accurate than others. To remedy this, he sought out tools of shamanic divination like Tarot cards. To friends, the Captain is an alchemist adept and shamanic minister with a passion for community leadership. From San Diego, he trained as a yoga and meditation teacher by the age of 20 in Encinitas, CA.
Around the same time Hugh became more seriously introduced to Human Design, Astronomy, Jyotish, and the Cards of Destiny system. While apprenticing in Ethnobotany and Herbalism with local teacher Dennis Green-Medicine-Deer, Hugh continued to teach Yoga to people of all skill levels and ages. After about ten years of teaching the Yogic Arts, Hugh has come to additionally specialize in Luck, Astrology, divination, Power Animal work, and Journeywork.
