Trevor Atherley, MD, is a Newark, New Jersey-based cardiologist in private practice. Previously, he served as director of the cardiac telemetry floors at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as well as director of cardiology at East Orange General Hospital. Trevor Atherley has taught medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows for more than 25 years.

Beyond caring for patients in a clinical environment, Dr. Atherley served as president of the New Jersey affiliate of the American Heart Association from 1994 through 1996, and as a member of the Women and Minorities Leadership Committee of the National American Heart Association from 1997 through 1999. He is also a member of the Caribbean American Medical Scientific Association and served on the board of Greater Newark and Essex County’s Big Brothers & Big Sisters program in 1999.

Dr. Atherley holds a medical degree from the University of the West Indies.
