Patricia Bennett
Rocky Mount, North Carolina
Patricia Bennett received her primary and secondary education in the Warren County School System. Upon completion of high school in 1990; she moved to Germany with her husband in 1991. In 1993 Patricia returned to the states and settled in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. After, a short job search she began her educational pursuit. In 1995 Patricia started her work career with the North Carolina Department of Corrections while continuing to attend Halifax Community College. She was employed as a certified Correctional Officer with the NCDOC from 1995 until 2000. In 2001 Patricia went to work for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, as a certified Detention Officer.
In 2003 Patricia transferred from Halifax Community College to North Carolina Wesleyan College located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Patricia received her Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies, Cum Laude in 2006 from North Carolina Wesleyan College. In 2006 Patricia was offered and accepted a position as a certified Armed Security Officer with Eagle Technologies, Inc., at the United States Environmental Protection Agency in the Research Triangle Park. In the fall of 2010, Patricia enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration degree program at North Carolina Central University. Her anticipated graduation date is in summer 2013. Patricia is still employed at the USEPA in RTP with the current security company, ACE.
