Tricia-Lynn Hobson
Johannesburg
Tricia-Lynn's passion for wanting to make a difference started at the age of 11 when one of her best friends lost her leg through cancer. This made for a childhood with a difference - whilst other children were out playing, her time was spent loving and supporting this amazing friend through this life changing event, weeks of chemotherapy, and watching her learn to walk again. This friend taught her the greatest lesson of "living in the NOW'. The past is gone, the future is yet to come so enjoy every moment as it is a blessing and a gift and tomorrow is promised to no-one.
This different way of growing up taught her that life is often hard and cruel and gave her an innate sense of wanting to make a difference. This eventually lead to the beginnings of her charity work. First off she began with seven years of volunteering for Reach for a Dream, then a full time Management position in an NGO assisting the blind, moving on later to use her marketing and public relations skills in an educational based NGO and then one in the cancer field.
Remaining passionate about the NGO industry Tricia-Lynn felt it was time to contribute additionally in a more positive work related environment and went back to study and qualify as an Evolved Life Coach where she now has her own practice in the Johannesburg area. Her charity work is now limited to assisting various charities on a voluntary basis. She also offers drastically reduced coaching rates for any cancer patients or their immediate families.
Her childhood friend who inspired her passion to make a difference sadly lost her battle with secondary cancer late last year. The work continues to honour the incredible strong and passionate woman that she was and the 40 years of friendship they shared.
Tricia-Lynn undertakes Personal Breakthrough Coaching options as well as business group coaching sessions and public speaking.
