I am a military officer, wife, cat mom, triathlete, Ironman, runner, traveler, foodie, and wine lover.

I grew up in a small town in Ohio and began playing soccer at 9 years old and continued through high school. I begrudgingly began running my senior year of high school when I was convinced to join the cross country team so that they would have enough girls to compete at meets. After my first race I was hooked and continued running through college, but really developed a passion for long distance running and triathlon while stationed at my first duty station in Oregon.

I did my first triathlon in 2006 in Issaquah, Washington. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I borrowed a friend's shorty wetsuit which was way too large on me and got separated from my friend before the start and didn't know that the swim cap colors correlated with swim waves. Needless to say i was completely disoriented and it was a rough first race but after I crossed the finish line I knew that triathlon was my new passion.

Now many years later I've completed 30+ triathlons including multiple half-triathlons (1.2mi Swim, 56mi Bike, 13.1mi Run) and an Ironman (2.4mi Swim, 112mi Bike, 26.2mi Run) and I have 2-3 more Ironman races planned through 2016.

I love encouraging and helping others to be active and eat healthy (delicious) food. I am competitive and I hope to challenge others to push themselves beyond what they think capable and have a ton of fun along the way!
