I work hard and play hard! I believe in living life to its fullest. Like everyone, I have experienced the highs and lows in life; and through God’s grace, I try to learn and grow from it all. One of my favorite scriptures is “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
I have come to realize that part of my purpose in life is in supporting and motivating people. I am a people person through and through. Over the years, I have been blessed with maintaining a strong and rich network of friends and colleagues. I tend to become the resource that people seek out for mentorship or as a confidante, and I consider that a privilege and a gift to cherish.
I am a risk taker, and my resume shows it. I’ve been in business for myself and have paved a unique and fulfilling path for myself. I believe that we spend so much of our time working that we should enjoy what we do – and that been a constant theme that carries me throughout my life.
In 2009 I launched my coaching business, Perspectives Plus Coaching. I help individuals to renew their zest for living, talking career changes, and reinvent themselves.

Accomplishments/life experiences:
- 17 years as a nonprofit fundraiser. I've worked for the following great organizations: BoardSource, League of Women Voters, Habitat for Humanity, and Bread for the World. Joined the staff of Common Cause as of October 2011.
- Small businesses experience, including starting a decorating business in my 20s and helping my husband launch his business, and forming my coaching business in 2009.
- I learned to tune into the “what’s important to me” factor in managing my career, using this skill to navigate the job market from my own inner compass. I have shifted from corporate to entrepreneurship, to nonprofit fundraising and management, to coaching. Life is too short to wonder “what if”!
On the personal side:
- Parenting two children and co-parenting with my ex-husband to navigate the murky waters of separation and divorce.
- Taking a 12 day Mediterranean cruise with my best friend the summer we turned 40. It was life changing!
