Rock Star IT Integrator in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
So, what is a 'Rock Star Integrator'?
We'll leave the Rock Star bit as it's pretty self-explanatory. The 'Integrator' is a role defined by Gino Wickman in his book Traction. In a nutshell the Integrator (think COO/Maestro combo) "...creates organizational clarity, communication, and consistency; typically (but not always) operates more on logic; drives results; forces resolution, focus, team unity, prioritization and follow-through; is the filter for all of the Visionary’s ideas; harmoniously integrates the Leadership Team; and helps to remove obstacles and barriers."
With more than 20 years of large-scale Program and Project Management experience combined with technical experience in solution design and implementation, application design and Business Analysis, my sweet spot is in bringing Vision into Reality.
As the National Project Manager for one of the first ISP’s in Canada, I quickly found my niche with my ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Moving into the e-learning arena in early 2000, I had the amazing opportunity to manage national, international and global implementations for up to 250,000 users and developed extensive experience in change management and corporate communications strategies. I also had the opportunity to lead the development of several proprietary enterprise models to facilitate requirements gathering processes and shifted a 60% project failure rate to a 90% success rate as a result.
My leadership philosophy is based on the belief that "Real power comes from empowering others." ~Denis Waitley, which allows me to truly ‘meet people where they’re at’. This has resulted in having had the honour and privilege of developing 4 high-performance PMO teams from the ground up.
While I know that my success is as a result of hard work, experience and knowledge, it is not the titles or the salaries or the accolades that have made my career the awesome journey it has been, but the people I have been blessed to work with.
