Trish Scorpio is an experienced communications professional who is passionate about fueling business growth and employee engagement through customer-focused strategic communications. She has held a variety of roles in creative PR agencies, Fortune 500 companies and agricultural cooperatives and brings that unique corporate/agency perspective to her clients. Scorpio has a passion for identifying stories that help differentiate an organization or product or service, along with proven experience in generating impactful media results through national, regional and local media relations campaigns. She has extensive experience in crisis communications and issues management ranging from food and animal feed product recalls, issues around GMO foods/ingredients and personnel/HR issues. She enjoys news and feature writing, video production and developing social media strategy and execution.

As Senior Communications Manager for Land O'Lakes, Inc., Scorpio oversaw internal and member communications and provided external communications support for the cooperative’s three business units: Dairy Foods, WinField and Purina Animal Nutrition. She created and executed the company’s first internal communications strategy, produced the company’s bi-monthly magazine for employees and members and developed strategic content for the website and intranet. She also provided ongoing strategic support for the company’s business announcements including mergers and acquisitions, business sales and divestitures.

Prior to this role, Scorpio served as the Account Director for St. Paul-Minn,-based Kohnstamm Communications for nearly 10 years. During her time at the agency, she helped increase the firm’s revenue in 2008 to nearly $1.5 million to move up from 21 to 16 in the Business Journal ranking of Twin Cities PR agencies. She also led the team that received the rare Client Seal of Approval rating from The Holmes Report in its PR Agency Report Card. The seal was awarded based on client feedback focused on accessibility, responsiveness, outstanding service, honesty, integrity, passion for client’s business and proven ability to partner with client’s marketing staff.

During her tenure, Scorpio coordinated communications strategy and generated ongoing national business and consumer media attention for a wide variety of accounts including Honest Tea, Naked Juice, Happy Baby, Mom’s Best Naturals and Reed’s Ginger Brew on the consumer sid
