Tristan Curtis Pickett
Student in Richmond, Virgina
Hello! I'm Tristan Curtis Pickett, a senior at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, VA. From a young age, I've been deeply intrigued by the mechanics and freedom of flight, a passion inspired by my mom, who is not only a veterinarian but also an accomplished pilot. This early exposure to aviation propelled me to earn my private pilot's license, which has been one of my proudest achievements.
As much as I love flying, I am equally passionate about sports and leadership. I actively participate in both the swim and tennis teams at my school, where I focus on setting a positive example and encouraging my teammates to excel both in and out of the pool and on the court. These experiences have taught me a great deal about discipline, teamwork, and the importance of maintaining a positive mindset.
Beyond sports and aviation, I have a strong commitment to giving back to the community. I've volunteered over 300 hours with the Hannah Pet Society, where I've had the privilege of serving as the Director of Programs & Fundraising. My work there earned me the Innovator in Giving Award, a recognition that has motivated me to keep finding new ways to support our goals of improving animal welfare and engaging the community.
Looking forward, I am eager to integrate my passions for aviation and philanthropy with a career in business or leadership. I am fascinated by the potential to lead initiatives that make a tangible difference in the world, and I am constantly looking for opportunities to learn and grow in these areas. Whether in the air or on the ground, my goal is to make a positive impact and inspire others along the way.
