Tri Xe

Debut Single: On the Shore, Broken Waves of Wailing

Born in an industrial ghetto in Taiwan, Tri Xe ('tri-see') composes and records Christian aboriginal-inspired pieces in the corner of his small kitchen. Amidst moments of silence when the refrigerator rests from its humming, the feral man cries.

When he is not putting down raw sounds and blending them as songs, Trixe works in the field of social and environmental justice; songs are a way of spreading the message that cannot be described by studies, reports, and articles.

Other elements of his life which make their way into his music includes: rowing, swimming, hiking, skiing – in short, travelling across landscapes; tracing ancient world mythologies; homesteading; and (slowly) learning traditional medicine.

All proceeds from the upcoming album will go to Garden of Hope, a Taiwanese charity focusing on “purchase” and rehabilitation of Aboriginal child prostitutes, victimized by the intertwined activity-rings of drug-trade and human-trafficking.
